Meet the Maker Behind Wild Abandon
Welcome, beautiful people!
I’m Sophie - the heart and hands behind Wild Abandon! The company is run by me from my little workshop in the forest of Dalsland, Sweden. I spend most of my time here working at my sewing machine, but I also enjoy hanging out with my cat, Cleo, wandering in the woods with my family, devouring books and knitting.
For me, sewing is more than just putting pieces together - it’s about creating something special that feels personal and unique. With every stitch, I hope to bring warmth, joy, and a little bit of magic into everyday life.

The Story Behind Wild Abandon
Wild Abandon was born from my vision to create beautiful and irresistible gifts for people who like things that are a little bit different.
The company name was inspired by my passion for unique fabrics, and basically describes how I am when faced with a selection of wonderful prints: like a kid in a candy shop, buying all of them with wild abandon!
I am a self-taught seamstress, though I had lots of tips and advice from my mother in England who has the same profession.
Sewing is something that's always been around me, having grown up in an environment of fabrics, threads and the whirring sound of the sewing machine running all day. As such, it's always appealed to me and I find it relaxing, exciting and inspiring all at the same time.
I aim to create pieces that stand out and that people genuinely enjoy using every day.
I believe there is something very special about owning things that are made by hand with love and care, and I aspire for that sentiment to be felt by every one of my customers.
A note from my little workshop in Sweden
"Wild Abandon only exists because of people who think differently - people like you.
When you choose handmade, you’re not just buying a product - you’re supporting creativity, craftsmanship, and a small business that thrives on love and dedication."
Thank you for being here! ❤️
